ISASS names Dr. Hee Kit Wong president: 5 key notes

International Society for the Advancement of Spine Surgery named Hee Kit Wong, MD, PhD, president.

1. Dr. Wong currently serves as head of the department of orthopedic surgery and a professor of orthopedics at the National University of Singapore.

 

2. He is also the chair of University Orthopaedics and head of the spinal surgery division at the Hand & Reconstructive Microsurgery Cluster at the National University Health System in Singapore.

 

3. He has been a member of ISASS since 2001 and has served on the ISASS board of directors since 2010.

 

4. He serves as chairman of the spine section of the Asia Pacific Orthopaedic Association.

 

5. He has won a number of international awards during his career, including the Best Deformity Paper award at the Scoliosis Research Society’s Worldwide Meeting in 2008.
