10 hospitals expanding spine programs — April 17, 2016

Here are ten hospitals with recently expanded spine and neurosurgery programs.

Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C., unveiled its $16.5 million neurosciences intensive care suite for neurology and neurosurgery patients.

 

Wheaton, Ill.-based Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital joined Chicago-based Northwestern Medicine to offer spine care.

 

Doctors Medical Center of Modesto (Calif.) opened its Darroch Brain & Spine Institute in January 2016.

 

Louisville, Ky.-based Kosair Children’s Hospital received a $2.5 million donation for pediatric spinal care.

 

Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush in Chicago is opening the Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush Spine Tumor Center.

 

Philadelphia-based Temple University Hospital and Montgomery County, Pa.-based Holy Redeemer Health System are partnering to offer neurosurgery and neurology services to more patients.

 

NYU Langone Medical Center opened a new comprehensive spine center to treat several types of spine conditions.

 

Pomona, Calif.-based Casa Colina Hospital and Centers for Healthcare opened its new medical-surgical wing offering neurosurgery services.

 

Mercy Health-Cincinnati is entering into a clinical partnership with Cincinnati-based Mayfield Brain & Spine.

 

Saint Francis Healthcare System’s Saint Francis Medical Partners in Cape Girardeau, Mo., added Cape Neurological Associates, also in Cape Girardeau, as its new specialty practice.
