Dr. Boyd has a professional interest in treating knee trauma, hamstring injuries, multiple ligament injuries and total joint arthroplasty. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Boyd has published several articles in professional journals on topics including the politics of being a team physician and ACL reconstruction. Dr. Boyd also serves as an orthopedic consultant to clients of the O2K sports agency.
Dr. Boyd is a fellow with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine. He is also a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, International Hockey League Medical Association, National Federation of State High School Association and the NHL Team Physicians Society.
Dr. Boyd earned his medical degree at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. His additional training includes a fellowship in sports medicine at the University of Western Ontario in Ontario, Canada.
