Dr. Weinstein’s research focuses on molecular biology and magnetic resonance imaging traits of focal cerebral ischemia and reperfusion, neurogenesis and functional restoration after spine and brain injury.
Spine and Journal of Neurosurgery, among other publications, have published his work.
He obtained his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine. Then, Dr. Weinstein completed his general surgery residency and neurological surgery fellowship at UCSF Medical Center.
