Here are five key notes on the transition:
1. Dr. Trent completed a spine surgery fellowship at the University of Ottawa in Canada and previously practiced in Tennessee and South Carolina.
2. Dr. Miller completed a residency at Greenville Memorial Hospital System and a spine fellowship at the Indianapolis Spine Institute before founding Mountain Spine Care in 2002.
3. As part of the Harris Regional Hospital’s orthopedic and sports medicine line, the surgeons will provide spine care and treatment for patients. The hospital also includes physical therapy services.
4. Two physician assistants will join Drs. Trent and Miller at the hospital. The group will begin seeing patients in April.
5. Treatments include partial disc removal, cervical and lumbar disc repair, balloon kyphoplasty and spinal stenosis surgery.
