Tria Orthopaedic Center-funded hockey training area completes 1st construction phase: 4 points

Phase I of the dryland training area at the Eden Prairie Community Center, financed by a grant from Bloomington, Minn.-based Tria Orthopaedic Center, has been completed, according to an Eden Prairie News report.

Here are four points:

 

1. The training area was also gifted to the city of Eden Prairie by the Eden Prairie Hockey Association.

 

2. Phase I of the training area included a mini-rink and four enclosed puck shooting lanes.

 

3. As part of the agreement to fund phase I of the facility, Tria is providing a number of services to the EPHA, including concussion screening, baseline testing and sports injury education.

 

4. Phase II is in the planning stages and is expected to be completed in 2017.
