Here are four things to know:
1. Redwood Memorial Hospital Foundation organized the fundraising events for the equipment.
2. The hospital purchased the Stryker System 7 and Cordless Driver 4 for orthopedic procedures.
3. Christopher Walter, DO, an orthopedic surgeon with St. Joseph Health/Humboldt Medical Specialists, and his surgical team in Fortuna will primarily use the new equipment.
4. Dr. Walter focuses on total hip replacements, minimally invasive total knee replacements and arthroscopic management of hip, knee, ankle and shoulder disorders.
