Neurosurgeon Dr. Fassil Mesfin joins Lake Regional Health System — 5 notes

Osage Beach, Mo.-based Lake Regional Health System welcomed Fassil Mesfin, MD, PhD, to its team, according to Lake News Online.

Here are five notes:

 

1. A board-certified neurosurgeon at University of Missouri Health Care in Columbia, Dr. Mesfin will now offer outreach services at Lake Regional Orthopedics.

 

2. Starting April 5, he will see patients on the first Tuesday and third Tuesday of each month.

 

3. The director of the complex spine and spine oncology program at University of Missouri School of Medicine, Dr. Mesfin also offers services at the MU Neurosciences Center Spine Program.

 

4. Specializing in complex spine tumor surgery, minimally invasive spine surgery and pain modulating procedures, Dr. Mesfin also treats congenital and developmental brain and spinal malformations, lumbar stenosis, neck injuries and scoliosis, among a variety of other neurologic and spinal conditions.

 

5. Dr. Mesfin completed his neurosurgical spine oncology fellowship at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
