Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center unveils $16.5M neuro ICU: 3 notes

Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C., unveiled its $16.5 million neurosciences intensive care unit for neurology and neurosurgery patients.

Here are three notes:

1. The 32,600-square-foot neuro ICU includes 24 beds.

2. The new Neuro ICU replaces two 11-bed ICUs.

3. The new ICU also includes a family waiting room, a family lounge with a kitchenette and two conference rooms for family-physician conversations.
