OREF celebrates 60th anniversary: 3 things to know

The Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation marked its 60th anniversary in September 2015, kicking off a celebration that will culminate in March.

Here are three things to know:

 

1. Founded in 1955, the foundation has maintained its focus on funding research in orthopedics.

 

2. The foundation has provided more than $142 million in funding to more than 4,700 individuals and institutions over the last 60 years.

 

3. The 60-year anniversary celebration will culminate with special events at the 2016 AAOS Annual Meeting in Orlando, Fla.
