American Spine physicians present at ISMISS conference: 4 things to know

The International Society for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery held its 34th conference on Jan. 22, 2016 in Chongqing, China, according to geeksworld.com.

Here are four things to know:

 

1. Sandeep Sherlekar, MD, Said Osman, MD, and Atif Malik, MD, of American Spine, presented papers at the conference.

 

2. Dr. Sherlekar presented a paper, “Ambulatory Endoscopic Spine Surgery,” which outlined various endoscopic spinal procedures in the outpatient setting.   

 

3. Dr. Osman presented two papers on innovative MRI and CT scan classification systems for spinal segment and disc abnormalities.

 

4. Dr. Malik presented a paper titled, “Lumbar Intradiskal Platelet-Rich Plasma Injections.”
