Dr. Scott Bigelow 1st in Nebraska to perform TKRs with ConforMIS implant: 4 notes

Scott Bigelow, MD, is the first physician in Nebraska to perform a total knee replacement procedure using the ConforMIS knee, according to a Lincoln Journal Star report.

Here are four notes:

 

1. The ConforMIS knee uses a proprietary platform to create a 3D image of a patient’s knee after a CT scan.

 

2. ConforMIS then uses the 3D image to produce a customized knee implant.

 

3. Dr. Bigelow is practices with Lincoln (Neb.) Orthopaedic Center.

 

4. He focuses on joint replacement, arthroscopic surgery, sports medicine and anterior hip replacement.
