Physician assistants earned a median salary of $95,000 and a mean salary of $98,387 in 2014, according to a PA statistical profile from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, which provides the most recent salary information for PAs.

•    Less than or equal to $40,000 — 3.1 percent
•    $40,001 to $60,000 — 4.5 percent
•    $60,001 to $80,000 — 13.2 percent
•    $80,001 to $100,000 — 35.1 percent
•    $100,001 to $120,000 — 24.6 percent
•    $120,001 to $140,000 — 10.8 percent
•    $140,001 to $160,000 — 5.2 percent
•    More than $160,000 — 3.5 percent
