Stryker names Gary Boehnlein next VP, CFO — 5 key notes

Stryker Vice President and CFO William R. Jellison will retire from his post after three years with the company.

Here are five key notes:

 

1. In retirement, Mr. Jellison will become more involved with board roles; he recently joined the PolyOne board. He’ll also spend more time with his family.

 

2. Mr. Jellison will remain CFO through the end of the first quarter to help with the transition.

 

3. Gary S. Boehnlein will assume Mr. Jellison’s position as vice president and CFO effective April 1. Mr. Boehnlein is currently the group CFO for MedSurg and Nanotechnology.

 

4. Mr. Boehnlein joined Stryker in 2003 as vice president of finance and IT for the endoscopy division and taken on increasing responsibilities since then. He has also been partner at Arthur Andersen.

 

5. Mr. Boehnlein has experience with private offerings and mergers and acquisition transaction consulting. He earned his master’s degree in accounting for Mississippi State University.
