Here are five highlights:

1. The companies formed the partnership to create biomechanical simulation software dedicated to spine surgery planning.

2. The simulation will be built into EOS imaging’s cloud-based, three-dimensional planning software.

3. Through the development, surgeons can plan treatment using the EOS three-dimensional dataset while also considering the patient’s stiffness and physiological parameters.

4. Spinologics has created software to simulate the biomechanical response to different spinal treatment approaches. Its latest release features an enhanced multi-axial screw finite element model and a spinal hook model.

5. The companies will use patient-specific three-dimensional datasets from EOS exams to simulate in-situ bending, vertebral de-rotation, contraction-distraction and gravitational effects.
