Here are the five physicians:
1. Howard An, MD, is a spine, back and neck surgeon at MOR, and is also the Morton International Endowed Chair Professor of Orthopedic Surgery.
2. Mark Cohen, MD, is the co-director of the MOR Hand, Wrist and Elbow Institute, and has been the director of the Orthopaedic Hand and Elbow Section at Rush University for the past 22 years.
3. Steven Gitelis, MD, specializes in orthopedic oncology and joint reconstruction and replacement at MOR. He is also professor and vice chairman of the department of orthopedic surgery.
4. Joshua Jacobs, MD, is a joint replacement orthopedic surgeon. In 2013, Dr. Jacobs served as president of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is especially interested in the materials used for prosthetic devices and has conducted research and published extensively on the topic.
5. Anthony Romeo, MD, has more than 20 years of experience as an orthopedic surgeon. He is the program director of the Shoulder and Elbow Fellowship and section head of the Shoulder and Elbow Surgery in the Division of Sports Medicine at Rush. Dr. Romeo is in the presential line of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons to serve his term in 2017 to 2018.
