KC Chiefs linebacker Justin Houston visits Dr. James Andrews — 5 highlights

Kansas City Chiefs’ Justin Houston recently saw orthopedic surgeon James Andrews, MD, according to Chiefs Digest.

1. Mr. Houston is the outside linebacker for the Chiefs.

 

2. Mr. Houston suffered what has been categorized as a hyper-extended knee in Week 12 against the Buffalo Bills and has not practiced since the injury.

 

3. There is no present timetable for Mr. Houston’s return, and the extent of his injury to prompt a visit to Dr. Andrews remains unclear.

 

4. Dr. Andrews is one of the founding members of Andrews Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center in Birmingham, Ala., and co-founder of the American Sports Medicine Institute.

 

5. Dr. Andrews graduated from Louisiana State University School of Medicine, completed his residency at Tulane Medical School and his fellowships in sports medicine at the University of Virginia School of Medicine and the University of Lyon in Lyon, France.
