1. The gift was given in memory of Caroline Vandemark who was diagnosed with glioblastoma and passed away in 2013 at the age of 22.
2. The money will support promising research at the Brain and Spine Institute at the John Theurer Cancer Center at HackensackUMC in Hackensack, N.J.
3. “It’s a close group of family and friends who volunteer to plan the annual 5K run and other events that support the fund,” said Samuel Goldlust, MD, medical director of the Brain and Spine Institute.
