Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation International published the first study of the device.
Here are four observations:
1. The Kickstart device utilizes spring-based technology to help patients relearn how to walk. The device is a wearable piece that acts like an artificial tendon.
2. The study focused on patients who couldn’t find ultimate success with other devices and therapies.
3. The findings indicated walking speed and endurance improved for every patient.
4. Patients experienced improved walking distance between 1.8 and five times farther than before they used Kickstart.
