Here are four points:
1. The residency programs will include orthopedic surgery, emergency medicine, family medicine, general surgery, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology and psychiatry.
2. Andrew Eisen, MD, will coordinate the programs.
3. Officials are not certain how many residency slots the eight programs will provide.
4. The family medicine, internal medicine, and general surgery residency programs are expected to begin by July 1, 2017.
