InVivo Therapeutics hosts leader event — 4 things to know

InVivo Therapeutics is holding a Key Opinion Leader event and company update on Thursday, Dec. 3.

Here are four things to know:

 

1. The two presenters are Bob Langer, Sc.D., the David Koch Institute Professor at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and co-founder of InVivo, and Nick Theodore, MD, chief of spinal surgery at the Barrow Neurosurgical Institute. Dr. Theodore is also the neurosurgeon who performed the first Neuro-Spinal Scaffold implantation.

 

2. Dr. Langer will discuss his contributions to the development of the field of biomaterials and InVivo’s product candidates that evolved from work performed in his laboratory. Dr. Theodore will present current state-of-the-art surgical treatment of spinal cord injury patients, as well as a case study of the first patient in InVivo’s ongoing Neuro-Spinal Scaffold study.

 

3. The company update will be presented by InVivo’s Chairman and CEO Mark Perrin and several other members of InVivo’s executive management team.
