Carolina Sports Medicine welcomes Dr. Chad Fortun — 5 notes

1. Dr. Fortun specializes in minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, hip, knee and ankle.

 

2. Prior to attending medical school, Dr. Fortun worked as a licensed physical therapist.

 

3. He earned his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland.

 

4. Dr. Fortun completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the same institution. Following his residency, he underwent an additional year of specialized training in sports medicine, arthroscopy and reconstructive surgery at the Southern California Orthopedic Institute.

 

5. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy Association of North America and International Society of Arthroscopy, among several others.
