Here are four points:
1. Specializing in vascular neurosurgery, Dr. Jimenez treats brain aneurism, ischemic stroke and vascular malfromations. He also performs spine surgery.
2. He will use Sacred Heart’s biplane technology, which offers three-dimensional images of blood vessels leading to the brain. This technology allows surgeons to quickly find blockages or malformations.
3. Dr. Jimenez will be the only surgeon in the area using this technology.
4. After earning his medical degree in Barranquilla, Colombia, Dr. Jimenez completed his neurosurgery residency at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in San Juan. He then completed a cerebrovascular surgery fellowship at the University of Cincinnati.
