Dr. R.J. Meagher joins Laser Spine Institute: 5 things to know

Tampa, Fla.-based Laser Spine Institute added neurosurgeon R.J. Meagher, MD, to its Philadelphia facility.

Here are five things to know:

 

1. Dr. Meagher is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons as well as the North American Spine Society and its Evidence Based Guideline Development Committee.

 

2. He has presented on a number of topics, including minimally invasive spine surgery, guideline development for spine care and the treatment of osteoporotic compression fractures.

 

3. He has served as an instructor in programs with Abington (Pa.) Memorial Hospital’s department of surgery, department of nursing and the Abington Orthopedic & Spine Institute.

 

4. Dr. Meagher is the seventh surgeon addition to the organization within the last year.

 

5. He completed his residency at Temple University Health Sciences Center in Philadelphia as well as an internal fellowship at Laser Spine Institute.
