1. Magali Haas, MD, PhD, serves as president and CEO of the organization.

 

2. The nonprofit’s goal is to help develop a better scientific grasp on the biologic mechanisms of head injury.

 

3. Dr. Haas said her organization wants to accelerate the time between scientific discovery and available treatments, focusing on translational research.

 

4. The nonprofit created partnerships with NYU and Columbia University, both in New York.

 

5. Cohen Veterans Bioscience also expects to funnel $30 million into research programs over the next five years.
