Dr. Hanley performs primary and revision joint replacement for the hip and knee, as well as fracture care, complex shoulder surgery and general orthopedics. He served as a physician for the U.S. Olympic Team in 1996.
The chief of orthopedics at Mercy Hospital in Portland, Maine, Dr. Hanley is also a member of the Community Physicians of Maine, US Olympics Sports Medicine Society, The Maine Society of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Maine Medical Association.
After earning his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Dr. Hanley completed an orthopedic surgery residency at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. He also completed a general surgery residency at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
