Healthgrades names Alvarado Hospital among best for spine & orthopedic surgery: 5 notes

Healthgrades named Alvarado Hospital in San Diego to its 2016 America’s 100 Best hospitals for orthopedic surgery, spine surgery and critical care.

1. This honor places Alvarado Hospital in the top 5 percent of the nation’s hospitals for overall orthopedic and spine surgery services for two years in a row.

 

2. The hospital also received five stars from Healthgrades for spinal fusion for two years in a row.

 

3. Alvarado Hospital’s five-star rating indicated its clinical outcomes are statistically better than expected.

 

4. Healthgrades analyzes more than 4,500 hospitals for 33 common procedures or conditions.

 

5. Alvarado Hospital administrator, Robin Gomez, is proud of the rating and said the hospital continues to “attract some of the most respected physicians in the region and their expertise is making a difference in our patients’ outcomes.”
