2 orthopedic surgeons added to Bothwell, MU Health team: 5 things to know

Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia, Mo., and Missouri Health in Columbia, Mo., are partnering with orthopedic surgeons, according to Sedalia Democrat.

Here are five things to know:

 

1. The two health organizations will work with Douglas W. Kiburz, MD, and Ryan Kelly Edwards, MD.

 

2. Dr. Kiburz and Dr. Edwards changed their practice’s name to Bothwell Orthopedics & Sports Medicine from its original name of West Central Missouri Orthopaedic Surgical Services.

 

3. The MU Health system now employs the two orthopedic surgeons. Bothwell will manage the office and provide medical equipment.

 

4. Both board-certified, Dr. Kiburz and Dr. Edwards focus on joint replacement, trauma and sports medicine.

 

5. The players entered the partnership to extend care to more patients in Sedalia.
