Vancouver, Wash.-based Legacy Salmon Creek is offering MAKOplasty technology for knee and hip replacements, according to The Columbian.

1. Legacy Salmon Creek is the only hospital in Southwest Washington offering MAKO surgeries for patients. The hospital has performed 1,000 MAKO surgeries.

 

2. In December 2009, the hospital began offering MAKOplasty partial-knee replacements.

 

3. The hospital began offering MAKOplasty hip replacements in 2012.

 

4. Legacy Salmon Creek aims to start offering MAKOplasty full-knee replacement starting next year.

 

5. MAKOplasty full-knee replacement recently gained approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
