Mr. Showalter suffered health issues as a child, including a hereditary bone disease. He went through a hip replacement, knee surgeries, shoulder surgery and other treatment to rebuild cartilage.
He is currently training to join the physical therapy department and eventually hopes to become an anesthesiologist.
