GRAFTYS achieves CE Mark for 2 bone cements: 5 key notes

Orthopedic biomaterials company GRAFTYS received the CE mark for its HBS and Quickset cements that treat traumatic injury bone marrow lesions.

Here are five things to know:

 

1. HBS and Quickset are highly injectable and resorbable calcium phosphate cements.

 

2. Both cements are commercialized in 23 countries.

 

3. Surgeons use radiographic guidance to perform a less invasive treatment for patients with bone marrow lesions using these cements.

 

4. The technology has three FDA 510(k) clearances and the new CE approvals strengthen the company’s market position.

 

5. GRAFTYS plans to set up a registry to demonstrate the efficacy of its products to treat post-traumatic bone marrow lesions.
