Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. Thomas Bernasek of Florida Orthopaedic Institute

Thomas Bernasek, MD, is a founding member of Florida Orthopaedic Institute. The Florida Orthopaedic Institute has several locations throughout Florida including Palm Harbor, Tampa and Temple Terrace.

Dr. Bernasek is an international and national expert in joint replacement and has extensive experience in total hip and knee replacement. He previously served as an associate professor in orthopedic surgery at the University of South Florida School of Medicine in Tampa.

 

Dr. Bernasek earned his medical degree from Creighton University College of Medicine in Omaha, Neb. He went on to complete his orthopedic residency at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. He completed a joint replacement and adult reconstruction fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.
