Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Neil Badlani of The Orthopedic Sports Clinic

Neil Badlani, MD, MBA, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at The Orthopedic Sports Clinic in Houston.

Specializing in minimally invasive spine surgery and disc replacement, Dr. Badlani treats spine, back and neck pain, as well as spinal disorders like scoliosis. He designed a “back school,” which focuses on back treatment through core strengthening, better postures, flexibility and fitness.

 

A reviewer for “The Spine Journal” and “The International Journal of Spine Surgery,” Dr. Badlani has received recognition for his research from the American Academy of Sports Medicine and Western Orthopaedic Association. The Combined Orthopaedic Research Societies of the USA, Canada, Japan and Europe have also recognized his work.

 

Dr. Badlani completed a dual MD/MBA program at the University of Pittsburgh. He did his orthopedic surgery training at the University of California, San Diego and completed fellowships in adult and pediatric spine surgery at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.
