Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Juan Bartolomei of Spine Team Texas

Neurosurgeon Juan Bartolomei, MD, co-founded Spine Team Texas in 2004. He focuses on minimally invasive spine surgery.

Dr. Bartolomei is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Society for Neurosciences, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the North American Spine Society and the American Medical Association.

 

Prior to his work at Spine Team Texas, Dr. Bartolomei served as an assistant professor of neurosurgery at Yale University School of Medicine and co-director of the Yale Spine Center.

 

He received his medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine, where he also completed a residency. Dr. Bartolomei traveled to London to receive specialized spine training during his residency. He did a fellowship at Barrow Neurological Institute in London.
