The author of many professional papers, he is currently helping with the research and development of ultra-minimally invasive endoscopic techniques. He received the American Association of Neurologic Surgeons Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery Research Award, the American Epilepsy Society Young Investigator Award and the J. Kiffin Penry Pediatric Epilepsy Award.
Dr. Telfeian received his medical degree and doctorate degree from Brown University. He did a fellowship at Yale University and a neurosurgical residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Telfeian also had spine and functional epilepsy surgery fellowship training at Switzerland’s Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois. He completed a pediatric neurosurgery fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
