Here are five main points:
1. The app will help educate users of the benefits of ultrasonic wound debridement using the SonicOne O.R. technology.
2. Surgeons will be able to view a 3D animation of the ultrasound technology, interact with macro and microscopic ultrasound in a wound environment and understand the surgical technique behind debriding a wound.
3. The app contains other features, like clinical and economic benefits, publications about the technology and surgeon endorsements.
4. Misonix will be able to reach its global customer base and international stakeholders through this app, providing surgeons worldwide with insight on SonicOne O.R.
5. Misonix President and CEO, Michael A. McManus Jr., said they update the digital platform often, providing surgeons with current information, surgical videos and product offerings, citing that surgeons also “have the ability to schedule a surgical evaluation directly through the app.”
“This new digital content, now available on the iTunes store, allows the clinicians to gain a more comprehensive understanding of how this advanced technology works and will become a great educational tool for new surgeons,” said David Pougatsch, DPM, faculty member in the department of surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
