Dr. Scott Waterman joins Central Indiana Orthopedics: 5 things to know

Here are five things to know:

 

1. Dr. Waterman is a fellowship-trained sports medicine surgeon. He completed his fellowship in sports medicine at Keller Army Community Hospital in West Point, New York, and the United States Army Institute of Surgical Research at Fort Sam in Houston.

 

2. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy Association of North America and Society of Military Orthopaedic Surgeons.

 

3. He has a special interest in diagnosing and treating sports medicine injuries and conditions. He is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons with an additional certification in sports medicine.

 

4. Dr. Waterman earned his medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha and completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas.

 

5. Central Indiana Orthopedics was founded in 1950 and now includes care for patients in spine, knee, hip, neck, shoulder and extremities.
