Darrelle Revis contemplated retirement after knee surgery

Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis tore his ACL during the 2012 NFL season, and is now ready to play his first game back with the team since being sidelines.

However, Mr. Revis revealed to Sports Illustrated that he was actually thinking of retiring in 2012, according to ESPN. Mr. Revis, who underwent microfracture surgery and not reconstructive surgery, said that it was his uncle Sean Gilbert who talked him into continuing to play.
