Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. James Kuhn of MaineOrtho

James Kuhn, MD, performs minimally invasive joint replacements of the hip and knee as well as partial knee replacements and arthroscopic sports medicine knee surgery at the Portland and Norway locations of MaineOrtho.

Dr. Kuhn also treats patients with fractures through his coverage of the emergency rooms at the Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine; Mercy Hospital in Portland, Maine; and Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway, Maine.

 

Dr. Kuhn served for three years as the chairman of the Southern Maine Orthopaedic Management Co., for two years as the treasurer of the Maine Medical Center Medical Executive Committee and is currently the co-chair of the Orthopaedic Integration Task Force.

 

Dr. Kuhn received his medical degree from SUNY School of Medicine in Buffalo, and completed his fellowship in limb reconstruction at the Maryland Center for Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction in Baltimore.
