Here are three things to know:
1. The physician is accused of damaging the plaintiff’s spinal accessory nerve during surgery to remove a lymph node, leaving him with permanent left shoulder injuries.
2. According to the plaintiff’s lawyer, the man now has nerve palsy, disfigurement of his arm and shoulder, and cannot raise his left arm of his head.
3. In addition to the physician, the lawsuit named the Midsate Medical Group in Meriden, Conn., as a defendant, according to the report.
