Here are five things to know about Mr. Darling:
1. He has been in the pharmaceutical and medical device sector for more than 25 years, spending time in various senior management positions with publicly-traded companies.
2. He most recently served as president of Linvatec and executive vice president, commercial operations at CONMED. While there, he led the global development and launch of several new products, strategic planning and acquiring new technologies.
3. Mr. Darling also spent time with Smith & Nephew, Wyeth-Ayerst Pharmaceuticals, Baxter International and Abbott Laboratories.
4. In his new position, Mr. Darling will work on strategic planning, market development and expanding the company’s efforts worldwide.
5. Mr. Darling will work closely with CEO Walter A. Cuevas.
