Dr. Munir Ahmed wins hospital foundation’s humanitarian award: 4 quick facts

Munir Ahmed, MD, has received the Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus Foundation’s 2015 Humanitarian Award, according to an Asbury Park Press report.

1. Dr. Ahmed founded Jersey Shore Orthopedics in Toms River and has served as chief of orthopedics for Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus in Long Branch, N.J.

 

2. He focuses on hip and knee joint replacements as well as general orthopedics.

 

3. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.

 

4. The award honors the philanthropy and leadership of hospital employees.
