Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. Gerald Williams of the Rothman Institute

Gerald Williams, MD, is the director of the Shoulder and Elbow Center at Rothman Institute. He focuses on shoulder replacement and shoulder arthroscopy at two locations in Pennsylvania. Additionally, this past April, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons named Dr. Williams as its first vice president.

Dr. Williams is currently holds a position as a professor of orthopedic surgery at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, and he is currently affiliated with Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Methodist Hospital Shriners, Hospital for Crippled Children and Riverview Surgery Center.

 

Dr. Williams received his medical degree from Temple University in Philadelphia and is fellowship trained in shoulder reconstruction from the University of Texas in San Antonio.
