1. Dr. Wagner is accompanying a crew of emergency medical workers who plan set up a self-contained field hospital, which will include resources to care for 10,000 people over 90 days.
2. Dr. Wagner is an orthopedic spine surgeon and clinical professor at UW Medicine Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine in Seattle.
3. He has a professional interest in biological spine disc regeneration, scoliosis, spine trauma and spine degeneration. He completed his spine fellowship at University of Hong Kong.
4. He is a member of the Scoliosis Research Society, Orthopedic Research and Education Fund and Western Orthopedic Association. He also serves on the medical advisory board of DePuy Synthes Spine.
5. Dr. Wagner is making the trip with the help of Clarion Global Response, which has provided medical and humanitarian aid in countries that have suffered from disasters.
