Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. Brian McKeon of New England Baptist Hospital

Brian P. McKeon, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at New England Baptist Hospital in Boston, as well as a surgeon at Boston Sports & Shoulder Center and chief medical officer and head team physician for the Boston Celtics.

Dr. McKeon is also an assistant clinical professor of orthopedic surgery at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. In addition, Dr. McKeon participates in clinical trials and research studies related to articular cartilage and synovitis, and his main clinical interests are sports medicine and treatment of sports-related injuries, with an emphasis on performing minimally invasive surgery on shoulders, knees, elbows and ankles.

 

Dr. McKeon received his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. Dr. McKeon also completed an integrated residency program at the University of Connecticut and a sports medicine fellowship at New England Baptist Hospital.
