Ceterix develops the NovoStitch suture passer allowing orthopedic surgeons to easily access complex knee injuries. The device allows surgeons to place a circumferential compression stitch in the knee meniscus.

The technology can also be used in minimally invasive hip and shoulder procedures.

“This is a great honor for our founder, Dr. Justin Saliman, and our R&D team,” said John McCutcheon, president and CEO. “We are pleased to be included with the great innovators recognized by the Edison Awards.”

It is currently used by more than 300 physicians in the United States.
