The new center is open on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and has Saturday hours. The practice doesn’t require an appointment to use urgent care services. The services at the center include broken bones, sprains, strains and sports-related injuries. The specialists can address casting or wound dressing issues.

“When injury happens, receiving quick and expert treatment can make all the difference,” said Executive Director of ROC Karl Stein. “Opening a second urgent care center helps Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic in providing trusted, convenient treatment without the long wait times and other difficulties found in the emergency room.”

The urgent care center includes a board-certified physician assistant and nurse practitioner with special training in orthopedic care. There is also an orthopedic surgeon on-call who has access to digital X-rays to assist in treatment.

The surgeons are also available to help whenever urgent emergencies require hospital care.
