Dr. Andrew Collette saves children from overturned car

Dr. Andrew Collette, DO, orthopedic surgeon of Freeman Health System in Joplin, Mo., was featured on KSN News for pulling small children out from an overturned car on the highway, reports FourStatesHomepage.com.

Dr. Collette first turned off the engine, and then had to peel the windshield back in order to rescue the front occupants.

“I personally don’t view myself as a hero. I think I did what anyone else would have done, if put in that same situation. I try to think about what would I want if it was my family in a situation like that,” said Dr. Collette on KSN News.
