Dr. David Altchek performs elbow surgery on Mets pitcher

David Altcheck, MD, performed ulnar collateral ligament reconstruction surgery on Mets pitcher Zack Wheeler, according to CBS Sports.

Dr. Altcheck also operated on Mr. Wheeler’s flexor pronator tendon, and the pitcher will soon be placed on the 60-day disabled list with a recovery time of roughly 14 months, according to a CBS Sports report.
