Erie County Medical Center to open $12.5M, expanded orthopedic unit

On March 18, Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo, N.Y., will open its newly expanded orthopedic unit, according to a Buffalo Business First report.

The Russell J. Salvatore Orthopaedic Unit was a $12.5 million project. The unit is named for a former ECMC patient who donated $500,000 to support the project, according to the report.

 

The new unit includes 22 private rooms, physical therapy services, space for pre-surgery education and space for resident teaching.
